Mr. Powell has over 25 years of industry experience, he is passionate about changing the industry paradigm by putting customers at the center of the energy universe. He has customer and technology experience in renewables, cogeneration technologies, as well as efficiency measures. His experiences include being the CEO of a solar developer, an innovator in financing energy projects, the CFO of a large utility, the North America President of the largest worldwide renewable company and a Partner at Andersen and PWC’s energy consulting practices.
CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Ms. El-Azzi is a self-professed energy nerd doing everything she can to change the way the world thinks about energy. She is a co-founder of Brightmark Energy and leads the Company’s efforts in development, origination and acquisitions of waste and energy projects. Ms. El-Azzi has over eighteen years of renewable and alternative energy experience. She has successfully brought solar, wind and other waste and energy projects to fruition in the US and Canada as well as across the globe.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Mr. Healy is a seasoned closer, who over a 25-year career as an energy executive developed, acquired, financed or sold over $10 billion of operating, clean energy projects in ten different countries and four continents. During his energy career, Mr. Healy has held key finance, business development and sales leadership roles in some of the largest and most successful U.S., clean energy companies. Prior to working in the energy industry, he worked 10 years in the investment banking and public accounting industries, where he was a licensed Securities Principal and Certified Public Accountant.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CHIEF OPERATING officer
Mr. Nekus has over 30 years of industry experience, including fifteen years serving in senior management roles for alternative energy EPC & development businesses. He thrives on finding value in existing business operations, as well as developing new commercial CHP and utility-scale renewable energy systems. Prior to joining BME, Mr. Nekus held executive positions with M+W Energy, First Solar, PSEG Global, United American Energy Corp., and Asea Brown Boveri, in various US and global markets.
Mr. Parikh is an experienced lawyer who has counseled clients and companies in all aspects of energy and infrastructure M&A, development, finance and operations over a 20-year legal career. After a long stint as a senior lawyer at a global law firm in its global project and energy finance group, Mr. Parikh spent the last several years at a large multinational renewable energy developer and asset owner working on corporate finance, project finance and project development of renewable energy projects in all shapes and sizes, including large scale utility projects, distributed generation projects and residential systems in solar, wind, geothermal and other renewable technologies. Mr. Parikh is excited about working on the next generation of projects that will unlock the full potential of renewable energy.
